House rulesArticle 1: Definitions and applicability1.1..... The principals of these general terms and conditions are: Amsterdam ArenA, A.F.C. Ajax and organisers of other events. 1.2..... The other parties are: the original rightful owner of an admission ticket, the holder of an admission ticket, visitors to Amsterdam ArenA. 1.3..... These general terms and conditions apply to the principals and other parties for all events in the Amsterdam ArenA and apply to purchase of the admission ticket, access to the ArenA, and to time spent there. Article 2: Presentation of ID/admission ticket2.1..... All visitors within or around the Amsterdam ArenA must have a valid admission ticket and ID. Visitors only have access via the proper entrance and paths. 2.2..... All staff of the Amsterdam ArenA, or of a third party appointed by the Amsterdam ArenA, may at any time request that the visitor show them a valid admission ticket and check that the visitor is entitled to be where he/she is at the time of checking or on the way to such place. On being asked the visitor must also identify him/herself with a valid ID card or a valid photographic pass provided by the Amsterdam ArenA and/or the K.N.V.B., or A.F.C. Ajax (this may be one of the following documents: Seizoen Club Card, Club Card, Supporters Club Card or a K.N.V.B. pass or a valid substitute for such document). 2.3..... The visitor may not remain in or go to another part of the Amsterdam ArenA than that to which the admission ticket grants entitlement (i.e. the seat itself, the way to the seat and from the stadium, and related public amenities). 2.4..... Members of the public may only sit where they are entitled by the admission ticket; the numbering of seats must be strictly observed. Amsterdam ArenA, A.F.C. Ajax and the events organiser retain the right to assign the original rightful owner of an admission ticket, the holder of an admission ticket and visitors to the Amsterdam ArenA to another seat than that stated on the admission ticket, without grounds for entitlement to any compensation or refund. 2.5..... Entrances, stairways, aisles, steps and suchlike are all intended for use as emergency access or exits in the event of danger. Therefore the visitor is strictly prohibited from unnecessarily remaining in such places for longer than absolutely necessary. 2.6..... When leaving the area of the Amsterdam ArenA to which the admission ticket grants entitlement, the admission ticket irrevocably ceases to be valid. Article 3: Alcohol, drugs, merchandise3.1..... The visitor is not allowed to enter the Amsterdam ArenA or remain there whilst under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other substance, including medicines, that might affect his/her behaviour adversely. 3.2..... Bringing drinks, drugs and suchlike items into the venue is not allowed. Buying and consuming (alcoholic) drinks is only permitted on/in the appropriate places or areas. 3.3..... Selling or offering for sale merchandise such as drinks, food, souvenir articles, t-shirts, scarves, flags and suchlike in the Amsterdam ArenA is only permitted if and as long as written consent is obtained from the Amsterdam ArenA. This consent must be presented to Amsterdam ArenA staff on request. Article 4: Discrimination, fireworks, weapons, nuisance4.1..... Bringing items such as glass bottles, glasses, cans, laser light pointers, banners which in the opinion of Amsterdam ArenA staff have discriminatory or provocative texts, chains, blunt instruments, pointed or thrusting weapons, or other items that might be used as weapons or as a method of restoring order, or having or possessing such items there is not allowed. 4.2..... Bringing and igniting fireworks or having or possessing such items there is prohibited at all times. 4.3..... Throwing any item or liquid in the Amsterdam ArenA is not allowed. 4.4..... Acting in a way that is perceived by others as provocative, threatening or discriminatory, or troublesome or as a disturbance of the peace in the Amsterdam ArenA is not allowed. This also includes chanting slogans that others might perceive to be discriminatory. 4.6..... Causing any hazard to property or to the life or health or yourself or of others is not allowed, nor is causing any other form of injury. It is specifically forbidden to climb lighting columns, fences, roofs, dug-outs and other items or structures. 4.7..... Bringing dogs and other animals to the Amsterdam ArenA is prohibited for anyone who is not an authorised member of staff. Article 5: Escape routes, seating, rubbish, smoking5.1..... On arrival in the Amsterdam ArenA all members of the public must familiarise themselves with the escape routes to be used in the event of a emergency or threat of an emergency. Lifts must not be used in emergencies. 5.2..... Every member of the public must sit in the seat with the number given on their admission ticket. Standing on the seats is not allowed. If you destroy a seat you will be ejected from the ArenA. 5.3..... Members of the public must dispose of rubbish, for instance drinks and/or food rubbish, in the appropriate containers. 5.4..... Smoking is only permitted in the allocated areas. Article 6: Audio-visual recordings (including still photography)6.1..... With the exception of persons who are, in the opinion of Amsterdam ArenA, authorised press photographers, film-makers or journalists, making audio-visual recordings (including still photography) for commercial purposes is not allowed in the Amsterdam ArenA. This ban may be extended to all purposes. In this case this will be indicated at the entrance. 6.2..... There is a video monitoring system operating in the Amsterdam ArenA. Visitors hereby consent to video recordings being made of them. Article 7: Applicable conditions7.1..... The provisions and general terms and conditions of Amsterdam City Council and the K.N.V.B. form an integral and binding part with these terms and conditions. Criminal law provisions also apply to the Amsterdam ArenA, insofar as they relate or might relate to threats on the public road. Section II: AuthorisationArticle 1: Instructions1.1.....Visitors must comply immediately with instructions given by Amsterdam ArenA staff, A.F.C. Ajax staff and the staff of events organisers, as well as by the police, fire brigade, the health authority (GG&GD) and other authorised bodies. 1.2..... On request from a member of Amsterdam ArenA staff, A.F.C. Ajax staff, or events organisers' staff, as well as the police, members of the public must present a valid admission ticket, or proof that they are working as staff of the Amsterdam ArenA, A.F.C. Ajax or of the organiser of the current event. 1.3..... Amsterdam ArenA staff and the police are entitled at any time to search visitors for the possession of unlawful items and, in the event such items are found, to confiscate or destroy them. 1.4..... Members of the public must moreover comply with the request given in Section I, Article 2.2. Section III: SanctionsArticle 1: Expulsion1.1..... Anyone contravening these general terms and conditions in any way may be refused access to the Amsterdam ArenA by Amsterdam ArenA staff, A.F.C. Ajax staff, events organisers' staff, or appointed persons, as well as the police and other authorised persons and/or organisations, without prior warning; he or she may also be removed from (any part of) the Amsterdam ArenA or handed over to the police. In either case, the admission ticket(s) of the person or persons concerned may be confiscated, and immediately and irrevocably cease(s) to be valid, without any right to refund. 1.2..... If a member of the public commits any contravention as defined above or commits a criminal act either inside the Amsterdam ArenA, or outside, but in relation to an event and/or match in the Amsterdam ArenA, or displays conduct which might harm the prestige of the Amsterdam ArenA, A.F.C. Ajax, the K.N.V.B. and/or third parties, Amsterdam ArenA and A.F.C. Ajax are entitled to refuse the person or persons concerned access to one or more events and matches in future, with or without time limit, and to take any measures necessary to implement this. This also applies to the original rightful owner as named in Section V, Article 1.2 on the basis of the conduct of the holder of the admission ticket. 1.3..... Anyone contravening the content of any article above shall be liable for an immediately payable fine of € 453,78 to the K.N.V.B., if the event is a football match, without any formal notification or legal intervention being necessary. Section IV: Ticket salesArticle 1:1.1..... Selling or transferring admission tickets whether commercially or not is not allowed; this specifically includes such an act for a higher sum than given on the ticket. 1.2..... Events, including matches, are as far as possible held or played on the date(s) and time(s) stated on the admission ticket. However the organisers retain the right at all times to make changes or correct mistakes. 1.3..... The cancellation, postponement and/or non-playing of a match or event does not entitle the public to refund of (any part of) the admission price, or other compensation, subject to further rules set by Amsterdam ArenA, A.F.C. Ajax or the event organiser. 1.4..... On purchase of an admission ticket every member of the public must be able to identify him/herself with a valid ID pass issued by the government. A passport, driving licence or other official ID card (e.g. Toeristenkaart) will be accepted as proof of identity. For the purchase of admission tickets for football matches, a Seizoen Club Card, Club Card, Supporters Club Card or K.N.V.B. may also be presented (or any valid substitute for these documents). 1.5..... Every member of the public gives Amsterdam ArenA and its staff the right to record the details on the identification directly or indirectly, e.g. by making a copy of the identification. 1.6..... Besides the provisions in Section IV, the method of ticket sales is regulated in specific instructions that form part of these general terms and conditions. Any member of the public who has obtained an admission ticket by means other than those stipulated, may be refused access to the stadium, and have his/her admission ticket confiscated. 1.7..... Any admission tickets not recognised by the automatic admission system cease to be valid and may be confiscated without the holder of the admission ticket being admitted. Section V: LiabilityArticle 1:1.1..... Visitors to the Amsterdam ArenA is are liable for any direct and indirect losses they cause, whether or not as a result of failure to comply with these general terms and conditions, and hereby release the Amsterdam ArenA, A.F.C. Ajax and the event organiser from third party claims. Neither Amsterdam ArenA or A.F.C. Ajax or the event organiser or their staff are liable for losses in any form whatever suffered by the original rightful owner, the holder of an admission ticket or visitor, unless it is shown that there is gross culpability and/or gross negligence. 1.2..... The original rightful owner of the admission ticket is jointly responsible and jointly liable for losses caused by the holder of this admission ticket. 1.3..... If for safety reasons it is necessary for one or more visitors to be excluded or removed from the stadium, these visitors must follow these instructions and have no right to compensation and/or refund. Section VI: Other conditionsArticle 1: Ajax and events organisersAmsterdam ArenA has the right to instruct third parties, including the police, A.F.C. Ajax and the event organiser, to (jointly) enforce the provisions of these general terms and conditions. Article 2: Final provisionIf one or more of the above provisions is or becomes void, the other provisions shall not be affected in any way. In such case the void provision shall be replaced by a new provision that is as close as possible to the former void agreement as regards content, scope and intention. SmokingSince 1 June 2004 it has not been possible to purchase cigarettes at sporting events in the Amsterdam ArenA. There is a limited supply for other events. Smoking is permitted in parts of the stadium. This is because you are in a hotel and catering area or else in the open air, on the stands or on the pitch. During the matches of Ajax it is forbidden to smoke on the stands specially reserved for kids. Amsterdam ArenA observes the law and encourages a smoke-free environment. |
